Septic Fixes publishes general guidance about residential septic systems. It isn’t plumbing, engineering, legal or insurance advice about your property — we haven’t seen your system, your soil or your county’s rules.
The tools produce planning estimates from the figures you enter. Real prices, sizing rules and permit requirements vary by state, county and contractor. Confirm anything important with your county health department and a licensed septic professional before spending money or deciding not to.

Sewage and septic gases are health hazards. If sewage is backing up, keep people and pets away from it. If you smell rotten eggs you can’t tie to a drain, leave the building and call your gas utility from outside. Never enter a sewer, manhole, septic tank or excavation — they can contain toxic gases and collapse.
